2023/24 Campaign Goal: $40,000!

We had so much fun in 2022/23 smashing our $15,000 goal out of the park. This year, we are raising the stakes and have set our sights on $40,000!

Here’s what the power of last year’s PwYF’ers accomplished:

Numbers for the 2022/23 PwYF Campaign:

23 teams registered to participate in the 2022/23 PwYF campaign.
95 people made up these teams and teams ranged in size from 1 to 8 members.
91 participants attended the 24 Hour PwYF Celebratory Gaming Event on March 25/26, 2023.
39 hardy souls managed to stay and game the entire 24 Hours!
06 Teams managed to raise more than 2x their minimum fundraising target.
05 Teams managed to raise more than 4x their minimum fundraising target.
04 Teams managed to raise more than 8x their minimum fundraising target.
$45,350.02 raised for Carmichael Outreach — more than 3x our goal!!!

What is the 24-hour PwYF Event?

After an entire year of planning FUNdraising events, registered teams get to relax at a 24-hour board game marathon where they can game for the full 24 hours or just come join in the fun for a few hours. There are games, prizes, and food as our teams come together to get to know one another and celebrate the end of a successful fundraising campaign.

Message from the Event Committee

Hello and welcome to PwYF 2023/24!

Last year for PwYF was phenomenal and this year is going to be even better – we couldn’t be more excited to let the games begin!

With a new year comes a new goal: $40,000. This amount of money means so much for Carmichael Outreach. It could mean a new Outreach Coordinator position or it could mean six months worth of lunches but no matter which way you look at it, it’s 100% needed and we are pleased to answer the call.

Last year was so much fun – everything from crokinole and crib tournaments to fitness classes and paint nights, our teams put the FUN in fundraising. This year, we have nearly an entire year to go to events, play games, and have fun while raising the much needed dollars that Carmichael uses to help our community members in need.

If you’re on the fence about creating a team or joining a group of people that you’ve never met before, let us assure you that it’s 100% worth it. Our community is built around the values of kindness, charity, and inclusivity; Goodness through Gaming! If you’re game for a game, so are we, and you are welcome anytime, all the time. Carmichael Outreach is a registered charity located in Regina, Saskatchewan that provides various services to those in our community who experience poverty and homelessness. Our mission is to foster empowerment through dignity, respect, and advocacy in our community.
